UCR Watchouts

States can audit your UCR payments to make sure that you pay the minimum due. That usually is done by comparing the number of vehicles that you show in your USDOT number profile and compare that with what you paid in UCR fees. Also they can check how many vehicles went through an inspection in a different state.
As an example if you have listed 20 vehicles on your profile but only paid for 2 vehidcles, the state may request proof of what vehciles did not cross state lines. Then they will compare that with any roadside audit of vehicles that were stopped in a different state.
Check what is in your profile by going to https://safer.fmcsa.dot.gov/CompanySnapshot.aspx Check for "Power Units".
it is always best not to short change the state when paying your UCR.
