Carriers, either for-hire or private, are required to update their USDOT number ever two years according to the last 2 digits of their USDOT Number. For example, if the last two digits are "70", take the last digit "0" that means October and the next to the last digit is "7". That is an odd number. So October of every odd year (ie 2019) etc would require an update. If you fail to update during that month, your USDOT number can be revoked. Of course your "due month" is based on your own last two digits.
If you lost your USDOT PIN number we can file for a new one for you!
As long as your USDOT is not inactive because of an "Out of Service" notice from the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration, we can easily reactive it.
We have the ability to reactivate an inactive MC for-hire MC numbers.
Being placed Out of Service by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration is a serious and challenging application. To get you rolling again, a Correction Action Plan is required. Depending on how many violations you have, it can be an expensive undertaking. We have filed many Corrective Action Plans to get carriers moving again but remember, you are down for at least 30 days!!
We have filed many times to remove the "Not Authorized" from a carrier's USDOT number and make you a private carrier. What it really means is that you are not authorized to operate for-hire. Or we can file to reactive your MC number and again remove the "Not Authorized".
